NOT FOR A MINUTE:
I am sure that you did not believe for a minute that the Alonzo's are a perfect family
and are perfect did you?
Much have been devoted to the strengths of the Alonzo's that we must now start discussing
their failings.
But before we do, let us talk about what Alonzo's are not:
QUIET - TRADITIONAL - CAUTIOUS - INTROVERT - IGNORANT - PRESUMPTUOUS
That is it for now.
Nevertheless, the failings of the Alonzo's can be found within their strengths.
They like to reinvent the wheel. Always questioning the status quo. Never
satisfied with what has been handed down. Always innovating. Although there
are occasional breakthroughs, this however, leads them to wasted time. The lack of respect
for the status quo only commits them to make the same errors the others already trekked
down onto.
Overly engrossed on a project, experiment, or topic, they could be insensitive to the
others' feelings or opinion. They acknowledge this failing and try to correct
them. However, more often than not, this does not concern them as much as they are
not afraid to be alone in an opinion or idea. It is the mark of being an Alonzo.
Emotionally, Alonzo's are insecure. They need constant literal, psychological, and
physical assurances that they are appreciated* especially if it concerns those that they
value the most. However, regarding other people that does not concern them, they are
bothered the least bit.
Everything else could be sacrificed if what they are going for is the logical
choice. If something is logical, they become insensitive to other people's
opinion. This is what we mean by them being headstrong. Unafraid of being
alone in an opinion. They never follow the crowd. This is why they are so
peeved by ignorance.
Watch them during group discussions. They have a knack of controlling the topics of
conversations and moving it from one topic to the other. They may tend express their
opinions quite strongly too, and support them 'too' logically. This is to their
disadvantage. Some people gets irritated of their arrogance. However, because
of this, other people start talking about them behind their back.
Modesty is never an Alonzo's trait. And they like to express their successes,
failures and accomplishments. They do this more so in 'sharing' their trials and
tribulations, and they expect the others to do the sharing of their successes, failures
and accomplishments as well. The problem is, others are intimidated . This
leads other people's resentment of them. Alonzo's are not resting on their laurels, as
they acknowledge they are struggling themselves. On the average, only those who are least
confident are resentful of them. You will know this as most of those that appreciate
Alonzo's as friends and their talents normally are those who are confident themselves and
those who do not try to compete or equate themselves with the Alonzo's.
